• I grew up in Southern California and going to the local theme parks was a favorite family activity.
  
• My dad was a Disneyland cast member in the mid-1960s. I loved hearing the stories from him about what it was like.
  
• I’ve had friends who are professional artists who animate the characters that are brought to life in theme parks. Scooby-Doo, The Simpsons (Universal Studios Hollywood) Peanuts/Snoopy (Knott’s Berry Farm)
  
• For a short time, I lived in Celebration, Florida, and thus experienced what it was like to live in a “Disney” town that was similar to a theme park.
  
• I enjoy collecting unique merchandise from the parks, particularly things from the 1960s-1990s that remind me of the fun times I had visiting theme parks while growing up.
  
• I keep my collection of theme park collectible pins on a bulletin board in my living room.
